A wondrous turquoise has been set atop a beautifully heavy gold electroplated band. These stones are all raw, just as mother nature made them, so there will be slight variations and differences between pieces.
Turquoise is one of the oldest known protection stones. It carries great wisdom of basic truth within it. Taking on the qualities of the wearer, turquoise is a very personal stone growing in tandem with the wearer. It increases empathy and the ability to think positively reintroducing the brighter side of life if it had been lost to negativity.
Our gold rings are simply stunning and eye catching from every angle. An extremely thick, 3 micron/120u" layer of gold (most gold plated rings are 1 micron only) has been tripled plated over a copper shank. To be considered Heavy Gold Electroplate (HGE) there must be at least 100u" of gold.
Electroforming is the process of building up copper deposits on any object. The process can be very slow and it almost has a mind of its own. Sometimes there are striations in the copper, sometimes pits, sometimes there are little copper spheres. The results are always beautiful and unexpected making each piece entirely unique. Each piece had been cleaned up by hand and finished in the tumbler. The copper ring is then coated in a triple plated of heavy gold electroplate. These rings take time to create by hand, we have some in stock ready to ship, but keep in mind these rings could take around 2 weeks to make.
