A celebration of family or friends, these cuffs are a reminder of those you love. Two to seven raw birthstones have been set upon a heavy gauge copper bracelet and held in place with a heavy copper electroform plating.
The bracelets can be carefully adjusted somewhat, but be gentle.
The cuffs by default are formed to include a 1" gap, so they will be approximately 7" in circumference and can be adjusted somewhat to be bigger or smaller; this is the default. We offer a small (6") circumference as well as a large (8").
Sizes: Small 6", Medium 7", Large 8"
Each stone and piece is unique, just like you are.
And your bracelet will come in a branded gift-able box with the stone's properties included.
Choose from all 12 birthstones in your choice of three different metals:
* heavy fine silver plate
* heavy gold-plate
The following birthstones are available:
Garnet - January
Amethyst - February
Aquamarine - March
White Quartz or Herkimer Diamond- April
Emerald - May
Moonstone (may be raw or a cabochon) - June
Ruby - July
Peridot - August
Sapphire - September
Opal - October
Citrine - November
Turquoise - December
The size of the stones depends on the type of stone it is and the number of stones that are to be placed on the cuff. I will design it to be beautiful, I promise.
This listing is for one cuff.
Electroforming is the process of building up copper deposits on any object. The process can be very slow and it almost has a mind of its own. Sometimes there are striations in the copper, sometimes pits, sometimes there are little copper spheres. The results are always beautiful and unexpected making each piece entirely unique. Each piece had been cleaned up by hand and finished in the tumbler. The copper is absolutely raw... no added chemicals or sealants.
To maintain the finish as long as possible, avoid prolonged exposure to water as well as harsh chemicals. The copper will oxidize and darken over time giving it a warm deep finish. This is natural and every oxidation is unique to the person who wears it and the environment in which they live. The copper grows with you. You can bring back the original sheen by gently rubbing it with a soft polish cloth. Greening may happen. It doesn't happen to everyone. I leave the metals raw to avoid causing any reactions to additional chemicals. Gold-plate will not tarnish. The fine silver plate can tarnish, but with care the finish should last a long time.
