These cuffs are all hand-stamped with the five niyamas from Patanjali's Sutras. The niyamas are ethical codes or moral restraints, and are the first of the eight limbs of yoga.
They are as follows:
clearness of mind, speech, and body
contentment and acceptance
A portion of the proceeds from every Drishti Handmade purchase is donated to charity. To see who we are donating to this month, check out the Drishti Handmade Facebook or Instagram page.
They are stamped on 16 gauge 1/4 inch brass, copper or aluminum.
Please note that the more lightweight aluminum is non-tarnishing. The other two will tarnish and oxidize over time. I leave the metals raw... no added chemical sealants. They can be buffed to the original sheen easily with a sunshine cloth. Or you can apply an aftermarket sealant if you prefer. Packed with love in a muslin bag
How to care for your cuff: With frequent wear, the black in the lettering may fade. To refresh, simply use sharpie and wipe off any excess quickly. If the sharpie dries too fast, no fear, put a little rubbing alcohol (or hairspray in a pinch) on a q-tip to remove the extra.
Aluminum will not tarnish. But copper and brass will oxidize and change color over time. This is natural. To bring your cuff back to its original sheen, rub it with a sunshine cloth or fine steel wool. Or try the old wives' method: Rub metal with a lemon slice dipped in salt then wipe off with a soft cloth.
